Nanocrystalline Cellulose (NCC) aqueous suspension at 5 wt% is a high-performance nanomaterial derived from the controlled acid hydrolysis of cellulose fibers. This white, gel-like aqueous form contains rod-like crystallites with nanoscale dimensions, delivering a high surface area and excellent dispersibility in water-based systems.
With its remarkable crystallinity (89%), uniform particle size, and stable suspension behavior, this form of NCC is ideal for advanced applications in biomedicine, nanocomposites, rheology modification, and sustainable material development.
Thanks to its strong negative zeta potential (-38 mV) and moderate pH (6–7), this suspension remains colloidally stable without the need for additional surfactants, making it particularly suitable for eco-friendly formulations and water-based processing systems.
