Aluminum 7075 Alloy Powder
Purity: 99.5+%, Size: <325 mesh
075 aluminum alloy (AA7075) is an aluminum alloy, with zinc as the primary alloying element. It has excellent mechanical properties, and exhibits good ductility, high strength, toughness and good resistance to fatigue.
It is more susceptible to embrittlement than many other aluminum alloys because of micro-segregation but has significantly better corrosion resistance than the 2000 alloys. 7075 aluminum alloy's composition roughly includes 5.6–6.1% zinc, 2.1–2.5% magnesium, 1.2–1.6% copper, and less than a half percent of silicon, iron, manganese, titanium, chromium, and other metals.
Its melting point is nearly 477℃ and has a density of 2.81 g/cm3. It has 503 MPa yield strength and 572 MPa ultimate tensile strength. Al 7075 alloy powder is used in applications requiring high strength to weight ratio, as well as good fatigue resistance. Although it has high strength, it has lower corrosion resistance than other common aluminum alloys and does not offer the same levels of machinability or weldability. In particular, it is often used in aircraft wings and fuselages.
