Description

Graphene Nanoplatelet, Purity: 99.9%, Size: 6 nm, S.A: 175 m²/g, Dia: 20 μm

Graphene nanoplatelets are thin stacks of graphene layers composed of hexagonally arranged carbon atoms, forming planar, platelet-shaped nanostructures. This grade offers an average thickness of 6 nanometers and a lateral diameter of 20 microns, resulting in a specific surface area of 175 m²/g. Their pure graphitic nature gives them outstanding electrical and thermal conductivity, as well as excellent mechanical reinforcement properties.

Due to their structure, graphene nanoplatelets can agglomerate through Van der Waals forces but remain highly dispersible with appropriate surfactants and mixing techniques. Their platelet form provides effective barrier enhancement, low permeability, and significant improvements in structural rigidity when integrated into polymer matrices.

Edge functionalization enables halogen or covalent bonding, improving compatibility with polymers, solvents, rubbers, and coating systems. Graphene nanoplatelets form continuous, conductive networks even at modest filler concentrations, leading to enhanced performance without significant weight or volume additions.

They are widely used in advanced composites, coatings, adhesives, and energy storage devices, where lightweight, multifunctional performance is critical.
