Description

Graphene Oxide Dispersion, 7 mg/mL, in Hâ‚‚O

Graphene oxide (GO) is the oxidized form of graphene, characterized by a structure rich in oxygen-containing functional groups such as hydroxyl, epoxide, and carboxyl. These functionalities allow GO to be stably dispersed in polar solvents like water without the need for surfactants. This makes aqueous GO dispersions highly versatile and easy to integrate into a range of composite materials.

Graphene oxide in water appears as a black, odorless liquid composed of monolayer and few-layer flakes. The oxygen groups promote both covalent and non-covalent interactions, including hydrogen bonding and Van der Waals forces, enhancing compatibility with polymers, ceramics, and other matrix materials. While GO itself is an electrical insulator, it can be chemically or thermally reduced to produce reduced graphene oxide (rGO), which regains partial conductivity and remains dispersible in suitable solvents.

Nanographenex offers high-purity GO dispersion with excellent long-term stability and uniform distribution of flakes. This product is ready for immediate use or can be diluted as needed.
