Description
Magnesium Carbonate (MgCO₃) Nanopowder / Nanoparticles (99.5%, 10 nm, White, Flaky)
Magnesium Carbonate (MgCO₃) Nanopowder is a high-purity white nanomaterial with flaky morphology. It features an average particle thickness of 10 nm and diameter between 5–100 nm, delivering a large specific surface area of ~47.89 m²/g. With a purity of 99.5%, extremely low bulk density (0.09 g/cm³), and whiteness level of 97.7%, it is ideal for a wide array of industrial, cosmetic, and chemical applications.
Thanks to its chemical stability and non-toxicity, magnesium carbonate nanoparticles are widely used in fire retardant systems, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and polymers. The material has good compatibility in acidic and neutral media and offers excellent dispersion in powder or composite matrices.

Applications
1. Flame Retardants & Smoke Suppressants
Used in fireproofing, fire-extinguishing compositions, and smoke-reduction systems in plastics and coatings.
2. Cosmetics & Personal Care
Included in dusting powders, face masks, toothpaste, and color-retention formulations. Magnesium carbonate hydroxide (derivative) acts as a clay for skin smoothing with mild astringent properties.
3. Pharmaceutical Use
Acts as an antacid and laxative, and as an additive in table salt to prevent clumping. Often found in over-the-counter stomach remedies.
4. Rubber & Polymer Industry
Functions as a reinforcing agent in neoprene rubber, and a filler in lightweight composites and thermoplastics.
5. Ceramics & Fillers
Used as a drying agent and filler for high-performance ceramics and industrial powders.
6. Taxidermy & Cleaning Agents
Used in skull whitening for taxidermy. Mixed with hydrogen peroxide to create a paste for bone cleaning and bleaching.
