Description
NMC 532 Cathode Powder (LiNiMnCoO₂)
NMC 532 Cathode Powder is a high-performance cathode active material developed for lithium-ion battery applications, featuring a Ni:Mn:Co ratio of 5:3:2. This balanced composition delivers high power capability, stable cycling performance, and good thermal stability, making it a widely adopted cathode chemistry in advanced battery systems.
Its controlled particle size distribution and low specific surface area enable homogeneous mixing, consistent electrode fabrication, and reduced side reactions during processing. As a result, NMC 532 is not only suitable for conventional lithium-ion cells but is also extensively used as a reference cathode material in solid-state battery research.
In particular, for laboratory-scale solid-state battery prototypes and dry-process electrode development, NMC 532 offers improved cathode–electrolyte interface stability compared to higher nickel-content cathodes, supporting reliable and reproducible testing.
