Single Walled Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNTs) consist of a single layer of
graphite having a cylindrical shape. Because of their electric properties, they
are the most suitable candidate for miniaturizing electronics. They are
efficient to be used as excellent conductors in electric wires. SWCNTs are also
used for antimicrobial activity. Other applications include its incorporation
in electro spun polysulfone nanofibers, having increased antimicrobial
capability. It can also be used as additives in polymers, flat panel display,
lithium-ion battery anode, and hydrogen storage.
