MAX Phase Powders is a new class of carbides and nitrides that possesses the properties between metals and ceramics. Its potential applications include gas burner nozzles in a corrosive environment, heating element, high temperature bearing, diamond/Ti3SiC2 composites for dry drilling of concrete. MAX phases are layered hexagonal structures that are becoming useful due to its diverse applications, especially its survival in high temperatures and its extreme environment.
